Recent Events Ellicott City Paid and Volunteer Members have run several involved calls in the last month.. 7/11/08 - TWR 2 transferred to Baltimore Co. Sta 5. to fill in during a multi-alarm fire. Friday Night Duty Crew Volunteers stayed and manned Rescue Squad 2 and Engine 21 until 0500. 7/19/08 - US 29 S/B at I-70 Fatal Motorcycle Collision - Rescue Squad 2, E22, P85, EMS2, CF2, CF2A responded to the scene and pronounced one patient Pri 4. 7/27/08 - Rt 100 at Snowden River Pkwy - TWR 2, E22, P25, and EMS2 responded to another motorcycle accident. Driver was flown out Pri 1 to Trauma. 7/27/08 - TWR2 and E22 responded to responded with Company 9 units to a small fire in 8300 blk of Falls Run Rd. Volunteers called in to man Station 2 during event.

Ellicott City Reorganizes Ellicott City held its annual election on June 25, 2008. At which time, Craig Proffen was elected Chief, Butch Ernest was elected Deputy Chief, Bill Rosebrough and Doug Harold were elected captains, Bill Robinson remained a lieutenant with Mike LaMartina, Craig Ralston and Ryan Doyle being elected lieutenants also. Sean Sacks continues to serve as EMS lieutenant. The makeup of the Board of Directors also changed with Nora Davis and Shawn Germain elected to represent the active deparmtent. Additionally, Jim Carlan, John and Mary Lombardo, and Jeffrey Germain were elected as board members.

Bathroom Fire on Mt. Ida 6/17/2008 - Box Alarm 2-1 for the report of a bathroom fire. Station 2 units, including TWR 2 and E22 responded and extinguished the fire. Additional units on scene included E91, P25, and BC2.
